|About the Venue and Accommodation:
The convention will be held at The Suncourt Hotel and Conference Centre, 14 Northcroft Street, Taupo, New Zealand.
Enjoy the stunning vista of Great Lake Taupo and the mountains of Tongariro National Park from this lake front accommodation and the spacious deck of the fabulous onsite restaurant and bar. The venue also includes five function and conference rooms for 2-300 people. Boutique shopping and the Taupo nightlife are only a short leisurely stroll away. Suncourt Hotel is the ideal accommodation base for trout fishing, mountain biking or a golfing getaway. Suncourt Hotel is minutes from the many Taupo attractions and activities including Huka Falls, hot thermal pools and four wonderful golf courses. There are plenty of activities and things to do in Taupo, regardless whether you are into fast-paced adrenaline adventures or a laid-back relaxing soak. This fantastic region has everything from scenic cruises to skydiving, mineral hot pools to cultural experience of the Maori rock carvings, dining to white water rafting. When you visit, you’ll fall in love with this unique and breathtaking region they call Great Lake Taupo.
Special room rates for Kiwanians staying at the hotel have been negotiated as follows. All prices are per room per night (single or double occupancy) and include all applicable taxes. Add $25 each for extra persons beyond two.
All functions, meetings and assemblies will be held in the Suncourt Hotel.
|Great Lake Taupo :|
The Lake Taupo area is advertised as "Nature's Ultimate Playground". Fresh air, snow, trout, rivers, lakes, people, fun, food, attitudes. Explore our world and discover a fresh new holiday destination.
It is too early to have even a draft program but note that the main convention business will take place on the Friday afternoon and Saturday. There will be a formal dinner and dance on Friday evening with the 17-piece "Great Lakes Big Band". The Saturday evening social function will be dinner with entertainment from the music group "Bliss". The dress theme for Saturday evening is "Be Adventurous".
|Project Display Bards :|
Clubs are encouraged to assemble a display board to illustrate their activities and share with others their inspirational project ideas over the past year. (Boards for displays will be provided.)
The full registration fee for all Kiwanis members or partners or guests is NZ$230. An 'early-bird' full registration (paid before 31 May, 2017) will be available for NZ$200. The full registration includes convention sessions, meals, Friday and Saturday evening functions and the partners program.
Deadline for all registrations is 12 August, 2017 (registrations have to be received and paid for by this date for catering purposes).
Partial registrations are available for evening functions, the partners program and for business sessions only. See the registration form for details. Partial registrations use the same form as full registrations and must be received and paid for by the same deadline as full registrations.
Receipts will be issued once payment of the registration fee has been received. If you have sent your registration but have not received your official receipt, please contact the convention secretary (details below) as something has gone wrong.
