Dear leaders and Kiwanians,
Already two months have gone by. Green Generation for Kiwanis One Day in the
Asia Pacific Region provides an opportunity to clubs for projects like "Trees for
Canterbury".
I visited Vanuatu and attended the Melbourne Cup Ladies Luncheon. A nice event
and successful fundraising for the Kiwanis Club of Port Vila. I visited also
all the places of sewing workshops set up by Caroline Salisbury of the Kiwanis
Threads Across the Pacific project. Thank you, Caroline, for your dedication
in this project.
I am currently visiting New Zealand and have attended the Kiwanis Club of
Christchurch meeting and Christmas party for Kids in needs with the two clubs of
Christchurch. I had and have several meetings with member of the district team
and ASPAC chairs.
Clubs received a few days ago the international dues invoices and District
Treasurer, David KING sent you the procedure to pay them.
Have you registered for the ASPAC Convention in Adelaide? It is not too late
to do it now.
One club has closed and another will do so by end of December. Our main
concern is membership! A campaign for joining Kiwanis is underway in the ASPAC
region. We have to recruit new members and Christmas time is good time to be
with family and friends. Why not ask them to join Kiwanis. May this
time of Christmas feasts bring some compassion, inspiration, fun and love.
