Waikato Area Information
About the Waikato Region of New Zealand
The Waikato is the fourth largest region in New Zealand, covering 25,000 square kilometres. It extends from the Bombay Hills and Port Waikato in the north to the Kaimai Ranges and Mount Ruapehu in the south, and from Mokau on the west coast to the Coromandel Peninsula in the east. The region has more than 1,000 Km. of coastline. The Waikato has New Zealand's longest river (the Waikato), the biggest lake in the country (Lake Taupo) and also its largest inland city (Hamilton). It is a major producer of milk, meat and racehorses, and encompasses some of New Zealand's best agricultural land.

- The Kiwanis Club of Kirikiriroa (closed 2011)
- The Kiwanis Club of Hamilton Westside (closed 2023)
- The Kiwanis Club of Oceanside, Bay of Plenty (closed 2025)
- The Kiwanis Club of Matamata
- The Kiwanis Club of Morrinsville
- The Kiwanis Club of Te Awamutu
All the above clubs were part of Kiwanis New Zealand Pacific District Division 2 until that was subsumed into a bigger Division 1 in 2025.
