The Kiwanis Club of Te Awamutu presents:

KI Logo The 1996 ASB Bank Multi-Sport Challenge

In 1996, 30 teams and 4 individuals entered the first running of this 6-discipline event. The team prizes were NZ$1,000 cash for the first placed team (won by the team from Fish City in Hamilton), NZ$600 for the second team (won by Clowns Multisport Club) and NZ$400 for third (won by the Ski yer Heart out team from Hamilton). Individual competitors got NZ$500 for first (won by Stefan Bennett of Otorohanga), NZ$300 for second (won by Chris Coombes of Morrinsville) and NZ$200 for third (won by Tony Begbie of Rotorua). There was a spot prize of an Air New Zealand Mystery Weekend for two.
